Tribute to Gnanamma 2021
Simi Anandan and Riji Anandan also choreographed a special tribute performance dedicated to Mother Thatipatri Gnanamma for the Vijayawada region. The piece was created as a heartfelt homage to her life and legacy as the founder of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Anne of Madras and the Sisters of St. Anne, Phirangipuram.
Recognized as a Servant of God by the Holy See on 21 January 2014, Mother Gnanamma’s journey of faith, service, and empowerment became the core inspiration for the choreography. Through expressive storytelling and carefully crafted movements, the performance beautifully portrayed her vision, strength, and spiritual impact.
This tribute stands as a reflection of Simi and Riji’s ability to transform powerful narratives into meaningful stage experiences, connecting deeply with audiences while honoring cultural and spiritual heritage.
